And yet many of them keep posting on how winning this year just doesn't matter. That doesn't sound as if they're very bothered by it at all. Unless of course they can tell people how lousy the returning players are.

Parts of that post game Iowa conference were sort of scary, I am not sure this guy can handle the pressure of a possible 1-8 Big Ten season, without cracking.

I think Iowa State might have hired a great MAC coach, who is an X/0 guy.

I hope we did not hire a slightly more eloquent version this guy, who also had some success in the MAC, then we all know what happened.

I haven’t seen anyone who has said winning this year doesn’t matter. The team is not strong at several position groups but I would love to see this team win some more games and the guys playing now like Croft continue to develop.

Some of the guys ripping on Fleck also ripped on previous coaches and players. I know you are a legit fan and not a troll but there are definitely some Badger and Iowa fans here making the board miserable.

Exactly! Watching that entire rambling diatribe left me thinking: how the hell did this guy get through a rigorous interview process, because he's 3/4 unhinged right there. Of course I had the same thought with brewster, but he didn't start out at $4mil/yr.
 

All you snowflakes who can only handle fairy dust being blown up your a$$ about how great PJ Fleck is; in light of Fleck's comments there really is no reason for you to be on this board until 2019. Based on what the Fleckster said we are going to suck for the next couple of years. I know we should be happy about that since it come from Fleck's lips to our eyes, but don't expect gopher nation to be thrilled that we fired a 9 win coach to get sh!t on each week. Cheers.

Why some on here are so hellbent on being the judge, jury, and executioner and have the need to sentence PJ at this point in the season is really impulsive and mystifying to the average fan.

What you have to realize is that the hot, new girlfriend wants sex just as much as you do, and her deferral “until we’re married” is only a gambit designed to get legal access to your accounts and assets. Much like a highly paid football coach promising great success and ultimate bliss, but only after 4-5 more years of who-knows-what performance. By then, the sex may no longer be Good.

Seriously, what does "fixed" even mean? Was our team "fixed" the last few years? Did I miss something? Did he say we won't win 6 games and go to a bowl until 2019?

I don't listen to coaches for the same reason I don't listen to politicians. It's all rubbish. Instead I focus on actions. PJ's actions tell me he is trying to win this year.

Yes, I agree, he's trying to win. And their strategy sucks. They're stupid. Let's run the option 20 times and tell our QB to never pull it. Then, let's try and shove our RBs thru a brick wall over and over. The coaches blew it.

Same exact guys that made fun of Mason, while they chanted down anyone that had a bad word to say about Brewster. It's like the Gopher fandom is stuck in a loop doomed to repeat itself over and over.

Well Claeys and Kill played two very meaningful games in Madison in came up short in the second half, but they were close to something that had not happened here in a very long time.

Make fun of Kill, TC and Mitch all you want, but the wretched offensive approach of this offensive staff is the worst coaching I have seen since Brewster. We kept hearing what a genius this new OC was and let us not forget that he had months to work with the current QBs and WRs to evaluate them and get them either to a point where they could run his stuff or find something they could run, and the crap we have seen all year is the result of that coaching .

Pure crap all around. Our team now looks a lot like the Illinois teams of the last few years.
