Big Ten Power Rankings - Week 8 Thread

I'm shocked to see MD below us.... with all that talent.

We are better than Purdue, Illinois, and Rutgers.

After that, I can't say.

The Purdue loss was lame.

These rankings are clearly incorrect. I was told here that it's a "fact" that Minnesota is the 2nd-worst team in the Big Ten.

Penn Live.com chimes in:

13. Minnesota
I believe Pep Boy called the Minneapolis media contingent "elite" during his post-game news conference following his Gophers' 24-17 win over last-place Illinois. Well, hell, it was his first career Big Ten win so we'll cut him some slack. He also got a pair of backs over 100 yards on the day.
That was the good news. The bad news is, sophomore quarterback Demry Croft, brought in to replace Conor Rhoda last week, had a case of the yips and went 5-of-15 for 47 yards through the air in his first start. That's probably not gonna get it done on the road the next two weeks as the Gophers travel to Iowa and Michigan. PB's only remaining legit win opportunity of the season looks to be Nebraska, back home in three weeks.
