per Greder:

“The Dude” is best known for abiding.

The nickname of Jeff Bridges’ character in the 1998 movie “The Big Lebowski” just wanted to drink his White Russians, lay on his area rug in his bathrobe and mind his own business.

But in the Gophers’ unique English dialect of buzzwords and acronyms, their definition of “dude” means something else entirely.

First, let’s use it in a sentence: Gophers receiver Tyler Johnson was a dude when he scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of the 30-27 loss to Michigan State last Saturday.

“You’ve got to dominate (your opponent) every single week, every single play,” first-year offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarroccca said. “… If you come out and watch practice, I don’t have to go over to you and tell you that this guy is the dude.”

Go Gophers!!

Careful man, there’s a beverage here!

We definitely know Fleck and Co. are not a bunch of nihilists. I wouldn't hold out much hope for the Creedence though.

Our lines have dabbled in pacifism.

If you don't buy in, “Obviously you’re not a golfer” (Gopher) — The Dude

Whatever they do, don't play the Eagles in the locker room.

you might say they want achievers.

That rug really tied the room together.

You guys, you're out of your element.

I'll have the lingonberry pancakes.
