per Brian Snow:

Zeke Nnaji, PF, D1 Minnesota – It was another game and another big time performance for Nnaji. One of the fastest rising players in the country, Nnaji again showed his unique combination of size, athleticism, and skill on Saturday. Nnaji scored around the rim, hit pick and pop jumpers, and then also rebounded well. Already Nnaji has made a jump into the top 50, but it is possible he is still to low in the rankings.

UW offered Zeke's sister, I'm not sure if the Gophers have offered her:

I wish I knew this Most High guy when I was picking a college. Seems really generous.

per Shooter:

Former interim Timberwolves head coach Sam Mitchell has taken a job as associate head coach at the University of Memphis. He’ll be recruiting Minnesota for new coach Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway.

The former NBA coach of the year with the Toronto Raptors plans to eventually become a college head coach. In Minnesota, Mitchell is focusing on Hopkins’ power forward Zeke Nnaji.

San Mitchell would be a good hire for us if Pitino gets fired within next couple years

I'll pass. Who use to coach the Grizzlies, I think he was from Staples or Motley. Dave Jaeger???

I’m a big time Pitino backer but he should’ve offered Nnaji before he exploded.

We did, offered him last year. Us and Wisconsin we're in early and he blew up in AAU. Believe he played on Pulley last year. It's not as much about the offer as it is the relationship. You can offer late if you've been around a lot ie Jarvis Omersa's recruitment.

Yep, we offered him October 12th, long before he exploded. We offered him plenty early considering his lack of production for Howard Pulley last year. Based on his play with them, there was absolutely no reason to think he would turn out to be a top 50 player. I didn't even think he was a P5 caliber player and felt Roddy, Chatmann, and Courtney Brown were all better players at the time.

If anything, you have to give him credit for how early he offered Nnaji.

I think we still have as good of a shot as anyone, it sounds like he wants to take his time and visit all of the schools that offered him. I just hope if we don't get him he goes out of conference. But Zeke, Curry, Oturu and Omersa would make a nasty foursome in the front court. Hopefully we could add Garcia in 2020 to be a better version of Michael Hurt. Course if we miss on Zeke, lot of good 2020 options as well.

I bet Lindsay gets his sister!

I think Zeke is a long shot. They are going on a ton of visits with a focus.

Maybe but at this point it's a long shot for everyone. If his focus is getting a good education and playing big time basketball than he can do that here, he can do it there he can do it in Timbuktu.

If he picks a school for academic prestige then there are three that stand above and beyond. If it is basketball there are a dozen way beyond Minnesota. Likely a combination and if that is the case then there are several in a better position. The trump cards are staying home or coaching. UW feels like they are in a great spot and clearly Indiana has made headway. Will be interesting.

Arizonas the team to beat here fellas. Kansas will be if they get involved. Minnesotas a long shot and Wisconsin has no shot. Gophers have a better shot at Hurt than Zeke and its not close. The one in state guy that really wants to be a Gopher is Dawson Garcia, so lets hope Pitino and staff can make that happen.

Honestly don’t get why people go to Zona except illegal benefits

Arizona is a mess right now, I'm guessing Wisconsin is the team to beat.

Arizona isnt a mess, nothing is coming out of the Miller investigation. Wisconsin isnt getting Zeke.

Sounds like Zeke is very intrigued by Arizona and UCLA. Wouldn't classify Wisconsin as the team to beat at all with him. Gophers are in it as well and Iowa too along with Wisconsin. Zeke seems very open and isn't anywhere close to a decision. Plans to take plenty of visits after AAU finishes up.
