Former Gophers basketball standout Kevin Burleson will be an assistant coach for the Timberwolves' G League team in Des Moines, along with Ryan Marchand and Charlie Bell.
The Iowa Wolves and coach Scott Roth announced the appointments on Friday.
Burleson has been player development coach for the Houston Rockets for the past three seasons. He played one season, 2005, in the NBA for Charlotte after leaving the Gophers.
