Gophers preseason #18 in country, picked 3rd in B1G.

Gophers in Tier 2 of Big Ten

Hard to argue with his tiers, though I'd be inclined to add Michigan to Tier 2. MSU significantly head & shoulders this season.

Hard to move any of Tier 3 up until we see them play a bit this season. I suspect 1 or more should be able to slide up to tier 2 by the time the main part of the BIG schedule hits but there are just too many unknowns now.

The Gophers only play MSU once this season, and it's at the Barn. I like our chances in that game, depending on how the rest of the season pans out, I could see the Gophers competing for the top spot. Although, I liked our chances even better prior to the Curry injury (obviously).
