The Gophers are one of the youngest teams in the nation, with 50 of 111 players (45%) being freshmen or redshirt freshmen. There are 77 underclassmen (69.3%) on the roster. Minnesota has just 14 players (six on offense, eight on defense) who have started 10 games or more in their careers.

Go Gophers!!

Only 14? Wow! There are 11 on offense and 11 on defense and we only have 14 guys who started 10 or more games. And some who started less than 10 games obviously. whoa is me... how do even know where to line up? To me 14 is a good number, not a "catastrophic" tiny number.

Again, 25 recruits each year and everybody is going to have 50 freshmen with 10 walkons added each year some could have 70.

By comparison: Michigan has 81 Freshman and Sophomores on their roster. We have 77... whoa is me

3 of our current LB crew will play in the NFL

MSU is starting 13 Fr/So and has 22 in it two-deeps. Gophs have 11 and 22 respectively.

Everyone, we can still be a young team and also have NFL caliber talent on the roster. The two things aren't mutually exclusive, stop acting like it is.
