Me I might return to Liquor Lyles as it’s 3-0 for me over the past two years for Gopher road games.

My living room in Redmond because there are no Gopher hangouts in the Seattle area :/

This is a good question, and a tough one for someone such as myself, who lives out of town for over a decade now. Nostalgia and wings would lead me to Big Ten Hopkins, if I were in town (still open, right?... I know the one on campus is gone). Burgers would lead me to The Nook in St. Paul - plenty of tv's for the game to be on. Back in the day, I used to use the old Morton's bar as my personal sports bar (too bad that place closed - loved the cajun ribeye). Runyon's is always a possibility, again for nostalgia. I'm probably way out of the loop now, but it's always great to think about the possibilities that the twin cities has to offer.

oh... one more thing... what's the status of Sally's these days? I'm pretty sure it re-opened. Worth going to? I used to watch a fair number of Gophers/Vikings games from there. Bloody Mary's and omelettes, and then right into wings and beer. Good times.

It's the college version of Cowboy Jack's...same owners. Not the old Sally's but any measure. Big Ten is gone too.

There is a B1G bar right near the Space Needle. They usually have all the conference games on during the day.

Sally's is the late 2010's version of what it was in the early '90's (including the corporate feel and tons of taps). Yes, Big Ten (Hopkins edition) is still going.

Good to know. I think I may have driven past it once and I was worried they wouldn't have all the games on since I didn't see all the big ten schools represented. Do you happen to know the name? Might try to catch the MSU game next week there.

Penn State at 11:00, Gophers at 2:30, all in my tv room on a rainy day. Growler of Inspiration from LTS brewing.

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I haven't lived in the Twin Cities for over a decade... Is Grumpy's still around? I was always fond of that place.

I don’t recall Morton’s. Was it downtown? Mortimers has new ownership and they are changing it up a bit (edible food ...) I guess.

From my couch with a Carbone's pizza a glass of tequila and my dog.

We're heading downstairs to the Sportsbook. Counting on you to get to Liquor Lyles and take your streak to 4-0. :drink:

Have fun in LV! Feeling confident enough to wager on the Gophers?

Quit wagering on Gopher games long ago. Nearly all home state teams for that matter. Oddly enough, even during all those non-playoff years, the Lynx is the only one that has kept making us money.

As for having fun, thanks. This trip has been way more subdued. The town went through hell this week. It will be interesting to see how raucous it gets today.

Go Gophers!

We need to start a GoFundMe page to pay for WorkingMyTailOff's uber to and from Liquor Lyles.

Awesome! a St. Paul classic! I've eaten many a Carbone's pizza. Carbone's, or Savoy's. Hard to go wrong there.

I will host a family gathering. The rest of the family doesn't understand that just because the Gophers are on the road, that it doesn't mean I won't watch them. I will listen on the radio as much as I can.

The original Savoy's just closed. Sad.:(

What? The one in St. Paul? That is tragic news.

Just read an article about it. The best pizza joint in the Twin Cities and it wasn't even close. I will forever miss being yelled at to hurry it up when ordering.

Not on TV in Winnipeg- again. Need Gophers to be on BTN but haven't been lately.

Yeah. Red passed away and the kids decided to close instead of updating. Great place, great pizza...the sauce was top shelf.

Can't you stream it on espn on your computer- or better hook up your computer to your tv and watch it on the bigger screen?

Btw- what part of Wpg do u live in?

Yeah I just heard about that. The original location was really cool!
