So something strange about the Douglas issue. Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press published an injury update on Wednesday or Thursday discussing Smith, Brooks and others. At the end of that article, Greder stated something like Gophers will pursue a medical redshirt for Freshman Wide Receiver Demitrious Douglas who is out for the season with a reoccurring leg injury. I don't remember the exact terminology used when describing the injury, but the point is Greder was aware of this Wednesday or Thursday, put it in his article and then took it out of his article. I was going to post about the injury on GopherHole that day, but when I went to link the story the Douglas portion had been removed. I then searched Twitter for Douglas injury and didn't see a single tweet about it from anybody. So maybe I was one of the few to see the original story? Either way it's interesting that either Greder had second thoughts about his information or someone contacted him and asked him to take it down.
