Can anyone share an injury update on Smith and Brooks (or any other key players)? Announcers aren't saying anything and I can't find anything on the net.

Brooks hasn't played. Presumed to be a shoulder injury suffered @ Oregon set

Smith possibly concussed, especially if he hasn't returned to the sideline.

Good time for a bye week.

Two weeks to get healthy. Not a huge concern.

Lingen, Weyler, Brooks and Smith have 2 weeks to get healed up

Zo? Is it ACL?

Thanks guys! Good info. Hard to find anything on the web or hear anything here in Nebraska (yuck!).

Definitely concerned about them all especially Smith. He was escorted by two staff into the tunnel at halftime. Concussion??

Sure hope Lingen, Craighton, Brooks, etc will be fine as well and get Weyler back for Merryland.

Who was the tall guy on crutches? Still?

I'm most concerned with this one, given the specific trainer actions.
I'm quite surprised that BTN did not check back in on the status of Rodney Smith in the 2nd half.

So, the total injuries are: Lingen, Craighton, Brooks, Smith, Zo and Weyler?

Why was Zo even playing when he got hurt? Gotta save those red shirts I guess.

I'll never understand why you run a play there at the end of the half in that situation. That was stupid. Take a knee. You're up big and at your own 13 with 45 seconds and 1 timeout, and you end up losing Smith who gets concussed. For all the good of PJ, that was really surprising. I was very surprised at the time and was saying just take a knee before the series started. Oh well.

If Zo messed up his ACL, that secondary is in really big trouble... hoping for the best.

Has anyone heard anything on Durr? I know he was practicing but don't know if he had a setback or if they are just taking it slow with him to get back into the games. Maybe in 2 weeks he'll be ready for some game action.

To be fair, most people felt Zo wasn't that last year and now that he's outperformed expectations it's a problem. I think most people were hoping expecting one of Durr or Harris to play at CB this year.

Agreed.

That's exactly what it was. Play a guy like Ayinde at corner in that situation if you're hellbent on redshirting guys.

Ayinde was in the game at S when Zo went down. As someone else stated, it was non-contact and not much you can do about it. Hopefully it's not serious but it had the look of an ACL albeit from 70 yards away.

Post game presser, Fleck said they will pull the redshirt off Estes.

Durr was listed in the game participation list today. I did not notice him out there but he must be game ready.

Did Estes play defense at all in high school?
