Tyler Johnson

Only 2 games but Johnson has the look of a legit Big Ten receiver which is something we have been lacking for a while.

Leave it to DPO to gripe with the word legit.

What the **** would be a better definition of legit Big Ten Receiver than someone who could be a receiver in the Big 10?

We've had at a minimum, one WR and at the very least much more that would qualify to be a receiver on a number of other Big 10 teams.

Did we have a GREAT Big 10 Receiver? OR an ALL Big 10 Receiver for a while?

You're the one that said legit Big 10 Receiver, not DP.

Through two games Tyler Johnson has caught 10 passes for 268 yards (ranks seventh in the NCAA and first in the Big Ten).

-throws Tyler a duck fart of an ugly pass-

Is that still elite?

I mean, I agree and don't know if this applies to you but for the last couple years we have many posters adamant that Leidner was not a "Big10 QB" despite the fact that he actually was.

We have had at least one very good to great receiver every year. Every year. Memories are short 'round here.

...and so on and so on. Someone steps up.

You are trying to use facts with this group. Dangerous grounds there.

I think the point coach Fleck is trying to make is "As a wide receiver, give 100% effort to catch every ball thrown in your direction".

Oh I know. I was just imagining and elite crappy pass that I might throw.... not gonna look very elite.

Best Gopher WR since Decker. He will be playing on Sundays

Easy...lets let the kid play a few more games before sending him to the NFL. lets see what happens when we play BIG schedule and maybe not put a whole ton of pressure on.

Im driving the Tyler Johnson NFL bandwagon. Also I highly doubt my posting on Gopherhole is putting pressure on TJ.

Nebraska with 2 in the top 5. Tom O has got to be shaking his head, as probably most Neb fans are.

I would love to see Spielman transfer back to Mn. I keep scratching my head on how he got away. Did Pops not think much of the Gophers at the time? Gophers has just beat the Huskers in back to back years.
He would be a dynamic player along with Tyler.
