Minnesota athletics director, Joel Maturi, hired a familiar face a few years back when Tom Wistrcill joined the Gopher athletic staff. As senior associate, athletics director for external relations at the U, Wistrcill played an important and diverse role in the completion of TCF Bank Stadium. Wistrcill’s profile grew as TCF Bank Stadium neared completion, which led to Akron University hiring him as its AD last month.
