In 2006, Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck took his first job in coaching, as a graduate assistant at Ohio State.
A Gopher now, he was a gofer then.
"I picked up Raising Canes for Jim Tressel every day," Fleck said Tuesday at Big Ten media days. "That was one of my jobs."
Fleck didn't specify how many chicken fingers Tressel typically consumed from the fast food chicken restaurant near campus, nor whether Tressel ate coleslaw or passed in favor of extra fries.
But that was Fleck's life. So was getting coffee for assistants like Luke Fickell.
