The last Gophers football team to win a Big Ten championship (1967 with co-champion Indiana) will have its 50-year reunion on Sept. 29-30 and be honored at the home game against Maryland on Sept. 30.

Among players expected to attend: Phil Hagen, Curt Wilson, Larry Carlson, Ray Stephens, Matt Rauh, Jim Carter (captain), George Kemp, Mo Forte, John Wintermute, Dick Petersen, Chip Litten, Hubie Bryant, Leon Trawick, Bobby Lee, Bob Brothen, Tom Fink, Bill Laakso, Steve Lundeen, Jim Pahula, Ted Burke, Tom Bracher, Ezell Jones, Bob Bedney, Jim Wrobel, Curt Nelson, Tom Sakal (captain), Denny Hale, John Force, John Bergstrom, Jim Bruton, Dave Baldridge, John Darkenwald, Noel Jenke, Wayne King, Don Haugo, Jack Walsh, Bob Stein, Mac Boston, Ed Duren and Ron Kamzelski.

Deceased players: Andy Brown, Dick Enderle, Charlie Sanders, John Williams, Gordon Condo, Del Jensen and Dennis Cornell. Deceased coaches: Murray Warmath, Denver Crawford, Bob Bossons, Jerry Annis and Bob Gongola.

Williams, an All-Big Ten tackle and first-round NFL draft pick who became a noted Minneapolis North dentist, died five years ago Saturday at age 66.

Also deceased: equipment managers Dick Mattson and Tim McGovern, and trainer Lloyd “Snapper” Stein.
