No postseason ban for Louisville

Vacated games + 5 game suspension for Pitino. Former assistant coach Andre McGee gets 10-year show-cause penalty.

It's not clear whether Louisville will get to keep its 2013 national championship. Vacated games occur during that time frame.

2013 NCAA title will be stripped

And, of course, Louisville appealing.

In the spirit of almost always doing the wrong thing (NCAA)...give it to UNC.

I think it's interesting the NCAA is making an example out of Daddy Pitino. It does seem unlikely these highly paid head coaches do not know when there is a pattern of misconduct. I think they turn a blind eye until they are caught and then deny they knew it was happening in their program. I would like to see them apply the same standards to other schools - UNC anyone ?

Go Gophers!!

And Jim Webber is who?????

Probably an Average Joe like the rest of us sick of listening to Bilas pander to the big-time programs and coaches. Bilas has become nothing more than a boot-licker. Of course he's not going to take a stance against a big-time program or coach, they'll kick him out of their Bosom Buddy club.

Has anyone ever asked on this board why Minnesota's coach, Richard, who was an assistant coach at Louisville at the time, seems not to have received much in the way of probing questions from the media?

For the one season he was in Louisville during that time frame? no idea
