Best chance for an upset: The Gophers need to be careful when Middle Tennessee State comes to town. The Blue Raiders have gone to bowls in three of the last four seasons and have a talented QB in Brent Stockstill, the son of MTSU coach Rick who led his team to a win at Missouri last year.

Player on the spot: The Minnesota QB, whoever that is. The Gophers will face a good Middle Tennessee State squad. And they will need to score some points to win.

Ranking the games of Week 3
1. Wisconsin at BYU
2. Air Force at Michigan
3. Middle Tennessee at Minnesota
4. Purdue at Missouri
5. Northern Illinois at Nebraska
6. Bowling Green at Northwestern
7. North Texas at Iowa
8. Florida International at Indiana
9. Illinois at South Florida (Friday)
10. Army at Ohio State
11. Georgia Southern at Penn State
12. Morgan State at Rutgers

I don't know what to make of Middle Tennessee, but it looks like they can score points. Yeah I'd say that is dangerous.
 

They have a really (really) good offense (Stockstill and James are electric) but their defense is super bad and probably got worse over the offseason (if that's possible). They lost five of their six leading tacklers on the defensive line, and their run defense was already ultra bad. That doesn't bode well against a team that can and should the ball well.

It could (probably will) be a shootout for most of the game but I like our chances as of this moment because of how we match up.

I duno, we've hardly put up big points when we should in the past, now with a new QB.... not sure we could keep up even when we should.
