Not a tournament format. Opponents pre-determined.

Damnit. Was hoping to avoid Umass, but that was always the likely scenario. The only good thing is that it'll be a neutral court victory, instead of a home game, so it won't be a complete RPI killer. But my guess is that Umass will be a 200+ RPI team. Maybe even 250+

Don't know much about Alabama beyond the fact that they've been an NIT team the last two years, but they've had some notable recruiting wins under Avery Johnson the last year or two.

Being projected as a borderline top 25 team in some corners. Definitely a program trending up.

Thanks. Although it's not a tournament, looks like the 4 teams essentially were seeded as such -- 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 on Day 1, and then 1 vs 2 on Day 2.

Will be interesting seeing Mason and Jelly go up against Collin Sexton, #1 PG recruit in the country and a top 4 overall recruit.

I think that Minnesota v. Alabama will be a great game. Washington says that he's underrated, and he'll get a chance to prove it against an elite point guard in Collin Sexton early in the season.
