Badgers

Wisconsin needs to replace seven high end talent guys.

QB Bart Houston signs undrafted free agent contract with Steelers. RB Ogunbowale signs as UDFA with Texans.

Houston and Ogunbowale join Eagles running back Corey Clement and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Sojourn Shelton as former Badgers to sign undrafted free-agent contracts this year. Wide receiver Rob Wheelwright was reportedly waivered by the New York Giants over the weekend.

Three more former UW players — offensive lineman Ryan Ramczyk (Saints) and outside linebackers T.J. Watt (Steelers) and Vince Biegel (Packers) — were selected in the NFL Draft last month and are expected to make 53-man rosters this fall.

Ekpe signing as UDFA with Bears joins Myrick, Travis, Pirsig still in NFL camps, I believe.

Maybe, but they've done it before.

They own the west until someone else takes it from them on a regular basis.

Defensive End CJ Robbins is the fifth former Northwestern player to find an NFL home during this year’s draft cycle; LB Anthony Walker Jr. (Colts) and DE Ifeadi Odenigbo (Vikings) were taken on Day Three of the Draft, and WR Austin Carr (Patriots) and LB Joe Jones (Cowboys) signed as undrafted free agents.

Appleby was a Purdue guy, too.

Illini had DL Smoot drafted 68th. Had two other dl (President and Bain), two lbs (Nickerson and Phillips), the qb, Lunt, and wr Hardee sign as udfa. http://www.thechampaignroom.com/201...linois-fighting-illini-nfl-rookie-free-agents

This. I'll expect a decline only when I see it on the field at this point.

Related, Michigan is a very interesting case. They had 19 (!) players drafted or signed as UDFAs this year.
