Had one of his players at Northern Iowa, Karter Schult, sign free agent contract with Browns. Schult went from 8-man football in Iowa to FCS defensive player of year.

Another guy Paup coached at UNI, Xavier Williams, is playing with Cardinals.

Arkansas, where def coordinator Smith was, had two def ends drafted.

With some veterans (Richardson - a 2018 draftee?; Merrick, Stelter, Moore) up the middle and some young possible future NFL picks on the edge (Delattiboudere, Coughlin, Devers, Martin) mixed with juco Silver and a bunch of freshmen, I am excited to see d line play this Fall.

Were there any highlights of draftees beating his defense?

If we can figure out some scheme to stop a power running team with 2 DTs and 5 LBs we'll be really good. Even the guys listed at DE are LB size.

Read my mind with this. Stopping the run will be a struggle for us, especially against power teams.
