Video: Gopher Talk 101 with P.J. Fleck: "Failing vs. Failure"

Cheering for a program like UMN over decades shows perseverance through repeated failure...or...it shows that most Gopher fans are insane. I suspect both...

I suspect he gets more stuff in his office every time I see it.

Anyway if failing causes growth, our program must be HUGE ;)

I got it. Failing without learning is failing. Failing with learning is Success.

Or did I fail?

Some apt quotes from Thomas Edison:

“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this - you haven't.”

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

“Negative results are just what I want. They’re just as valuable to me as positive results. I can never find the thing that does the job best until I find the ones that don’t.”

This is one message I can get behind. Agree 100%.

What does this have to do with being HYPRR?
