this will pretty much be everyone

in fact I don't think I've even noticed the namesake signs; when I first moved here people just told me it was "Lake Calhoun" and I suspect people will continue to do this forever

The sad part is that so much taxpayer money will be spent on the legal work, the paper work, the signage and so on. For nothing.

Yup (well close but not quite 100 I think)! It's 90+ in multiple spots. Love telling people that, especially people who have lived near the lake in SW Minneapolis their whole lives.

In my dad's neck of the woods (Mendota Heights) the big thing is the renaming of Highway 110 this summer to Highway 62. There will be dual signage for a while, and is the future, people will still call it 110, but as those people age, 62 will come more & more into vogue.

This is my roundabout way of saying, in 10 years, almost everyone will be calling is Mda Ska or Bde Mda Ska.

Maybe in 100 years, but definitely not 10 years.
