Coach Ed Warriner Mic'd Up

This is great stuff.

Friend of mine who played some college o-line watched oline group at one of open practices and was very, very impressed by Warinner interaction with guys, coaching acumen.

Great hire. Helped Zook build team that won a Big Ten title at a place not done very often. Helped Mangino win an Orange Bowl at place not done very often. Recruited and coached at very high level with Notre Dame and Ohio State (National Championship with Buckeyes).

Nice close-ups of the o-line men here.

Nick Connelly looks like a Big Ten tackle now.
Greene could be an NFL guy if he keeps improving his body and technique. Looks so much fitter.
Dovich has really hit the weight room and looks great.
Oseland is huge.
Schlueter also has Big Ten frame and size now.
Olson needs to be a little stronger, but he has the size and he moves really well for a guy a year removed from Prom. He is wicked smart, a trait that pays big dividends at center.
Weyler, Calhoun and Wright all visible working out with Warinner and the guys here. Good to see them mobile and engaged.

I like the nine practicing in this video and this o-line coach a lot.

Excited to see what three freshmen Andries, Sassack and Schmitz bring to the table when they report in less than two months June. All three have good size and strength already. Andries and Sassack both had very nice hoops careers as well; athletic dudes. Nice to get them on nutrition, strength and conditioning right away. Abojei still working on ACT/GPA equation. He'd be another nice big man addition.

Bringing in the juco one and done Ben Davis out of California adds a sophomore with some playing experience for depth. Sounded like he might be here in late May, getting a little head-start on the frosh.

I think Fleck and Warinner are pretty happy with what they have for depth, talent, maturity, experience, youth. Probably why we are not seeing much talk of another late juco or grad transfer o-line addition.

Having so much depth and experience at tight end also probably belays some of the urgency to add any o-line guys.

Very excited to see Rodney, Shannon, Kobe, FemiCole, Dominik and Ibrahim behind this line and work in an offense that won't allow stacked boxes/run up the middle.

Any mix of RhodaCroftGreenMorgan/TyJohnsonStillCarterMultipleOtherWRs/TEs/RBs can convert Ciarrocca's short, ball control passes all day if they want to sell out to stop the run.
