ESPN: Why these sleeper teams could win the Big Ten title (Minnesota)

per ESPN:

Minnesota

Row the dang boat. The Golden Gophers have come close the past couple years, and maybe first-year head coach P.J. Fleck's enthusiasm and new offense will help push them past the finish line. The roster has some holes, but the schedule is manageable early. It's not unthinkable that Minnesota could be 7-0 heading into the Floyd game in Iowa City. Crazier things have happened ... just look at last year.

Go Gophers!!

Gophs will need to get past an early test at OSU, and go virtually injury free on the defensive and offensive lines.... plus, the new systems, particularly on offense need to be down pat early. If so, 7-0 going into Iowa City is possible. .... as in "so your sayin' there's a chance" possible.

Don't want to make this a Leidner thread but really how much worse can a new QB be? Lediner was ok at best throwing for 54% completion in Big Ten play and the bowl game with 4 throwing TD's and 11 Int's. I'm hoping any of the guys we have on the roster can put up those numbers at least. We will miss his running abilities but that's about it.

Agree that the OL will be a concern along with some spots on D but overall I have fairly high expectations for the team.
