I think there has been a misinterpretation somewhere, cause Heather and PJ keep saying "Opening Game" instead of "Debut Game" which mean two different things.

Opening Game can refer to the first game of the season. So to some saying "First coach since '86 to win the opening game" could be interpreted as we haven't won the home opener since '86, which is false. Debut game, on the other hand, just refers to the Coach's first game with the team.
