Maryland (11-0) crushed the Hoosier's (5-5) in Bloomington, 92-56. Brenda is probably trying to send a message to the committee.

Michigan (8-2) played poorly, shot 12-20 from the line, fell down by double digits several times and struggled to contain Gustafson; BUT battled back to beat Iowa (5-5) in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines took the lead by one with 20 seconds remaining; then made one of three free throws to lead by two and survived when Gustafson missed a tying contested layup at the buzzer.

At the half; the Gophers next opponent, Penn State is up 31-30 at Evanston.

Outside the B1G, Stephanie White's Vanderbilt team is 1-9 in the SEC after losing at Kentucky.

Penn State (5-6) used a 21-10 third quarter to put away the Cats (6-4) in Evanston, 74-58. Northwestern looked tired.

It's looking like the Hoosiers won't be dancing this year. And future Gopher opponent PSU continues to be an enigma. They have some nice wins this year, including today's win in Evanston and a win over Tennessee. But they also have some bad losses. Coffey with a monster game for the Cats with 28 points and 17 boards in a losing effort.
