• Speaking of Gophers recruiting, four-star signee Isaiah Washington, who is playing at St. Raymond High School in New York City and is ranked as the 62nd-best player in the country by Rivals.com, recently had Knicks star Carmelo Anthony come to his game after Washington invited him. Washington finished with a triple-double — 29 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists — and scored 15 points in the final eight minutes as his squad beat Bishop Loughlin 85-84.

Go Gophers!!
Is it reasonable to assume he has a strong chance to start next year?

Ideally it would be like Maryland with Tremble and Conway - tremble was the point the last two years and Conway seemed to run it most of the time with tremble off the ball.

Funny how the local angle is we couldn't secure boarder with Wright. Whatever.. Washington committed and is a heckuva lot better player than Wright so the rest is history. John maybe.. but we didn't lose Wright. Back to subject at hand.. I am pumped for Washington to join this team.. will make the blow of losing Springs a little easier.

It will help Mason's game if Washington starts.

Mason cannot shoot off the dribble. His mechanics are horrible. However, he can catch and shoot.

We need a PG that consistently turn the corner. Mason is a good player but can't do that. Washington at 1 and Mason at 2 makes us shorter but perhaps better.
