Do we think there’s any way he doesn’t play basketball?
Suggs is a rare find in Minnesota. Joe Mauer is the last kid who was exceptional in multiple sports.
My dream would be for Pitino and Fleck to lure Suggs to stay home and play both sports.
The scholarship will go to basketball with Fleck agreeing to let Daniel F. walk on for any game with the Badgers. Respect the paint Bucky!

Now we're talking!

There have been many Minnesota athletes exceptional in multiple sports since Joe Mauer - Tyler Johnson, Mark Alt, and Anders Lee come to mind.

If he plays both sports, by rule he has to be on scholarship for football.

Nobody comes close to Mauer and Suggs in this regard. Not only premier athlete in big 3 sports, but at they also play the most difficult/technical positions (quarterback, catcher, point guard). This is rare on any level you want to consider it.

Not to disparage Alt, Lee, and Johnson, but they had a few decent college offers but weren't really seen as elite player at their position at a national level. Mauer and Suggs could/can pick any school in the country and are pert-near pro ready prospects (Mauer was in baseball).

You know all this, I'm sure, but just can help yourself. You're a junky.

He said exceptional. By any definition of the word "exceptional", someone who has scholarship offers to play Division I in multiple sports is exceptional. I didn't even mention Kris Humphries, who was an elite swimmer (often beat Michael Phelps head-to-head in youth swimming) before switching to basketball exclusively. There are of course many others.

Pathetic job trying to make it personal - stick to the argument.

Reid Travis too.

But yes, Suggs and Mauer are/were on a completely different than those other guys.

Everyone knows this except one guy who just wants to argue...

Again, stick to the argument instead of trying to make it about me. "Joe Mauer is the last [Minnesota] kid who was exceptional in multiple sports" is a false statement. If that isn't what he meant to say, he should find a better way to convey what it is that he means to say.

sounds like a commitment without actually committing.

Seals is a big-time 2020 QB recuit...

The second tweet sounds kind of like a commitment with the "the Big Ten will be changing soon" comment.

I suppose that's possible. OR - he means the B1G will be changing because Fleck will make MN a winner, and change the balance of power in the conference. It could be a compliment - not a commitment.

Seals currently has 3 offers: Montana State, UTEP and Minnesota. Hopefully Fleck can "seal" the deal.

He’s a sophomore and a 4-star recruit. He’ll pick up more offers.

I wonder if Viramontes decision to transfer makes the U a more interesting landing spot for 2019 QB recruits like Calzada, Clark, and McIvor.

Wouldn't think so. The 2019 class still has to play their senior season of HS so they would have only been in college for 2 years with Vic and then would be able to start either their junior or RS sophomore year. And its not like Vic was a 5 star #1QB recruit in the country that would have instantly had the position on lockdown.
