4 star 2020 Texas QB Ken Seals<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

First thing that come to mind: Does that mean he's considering Wisconsin?

Just looked at his 247 Profile. No offers or interest in Wisconsin. Hoping he means internal competition - looks like he has quite a bit of P5 interest already.

Stops reaching for pitchfork...

What if he misspelled completions as competitions? The words are pretty similar and competitions makes no sense. Somebody tweet at the man and demand an answer! (I'm joking don't do that)

Do not trust phones and computers now a days. They will say what they want.

Why doesn't that make sense?

It seemed pretty obvious to me he meant compete in practice for the gophers starting QB job hence the RTB hashtag.

He was talking about Jacob Clark so he used the word "us"? Is he one of Clark's personalities? Not sure why we offered someone who has mental illness on that level. What if one of his personalities is a Badger D-back? Too dangerous.

per Sid:

• One of the best prep receivers in the country will visit the Gophers on July 27 in Jaxon Smith-Njigba of Rockwall, Texas. But landing Smith-Njigba, a four-star recruit in the Class of 2020 according to 247Sports, will be a big ask for P.J. Fleck and his staff; he already has been targeted by Notre Dame, Baylor, Texas A&M, Stanford and USC. Possibly in the Gophers’ favor: Smith-Njigba’s teammate, Class of 2019 quarterback Jacob Clark, made a verbal commitment to the Gophers in early June.

Can we get the Minnehaha four? Preferably two of them for hoops, but they already make a great Wolfpack

He certainly was a factor in bringing Adim-Madumere here. Should have some pull with a teammate he already throws the ball to. We will see.

STrib: Two-sport star Jalen Suggs avoids serious knee injury, out five weeks

Five-star Minnehaha Academy point guard Jalen Suggs suffered a right knee injury in an AAU game last week, but it turns out he won’t be out for long.

Suggs, who is also a high-profile quarterback prospect, had a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) done Tuesday that revealed a bone bruise, so he’s sidelined for five weeks, according to his father, Larry Suggs.

"I think he'll be fine," Larry Suggs said. "He's a tough kid, so I think he'll recover quick."

Suggs is likely to miss Minnehaha Academy’s football opener Aug. 31, but he's expecting to be back on the field for the remainder of the season.

There has been every indication this summer that he's taking the possibility of playing two sports in college seriously.

"I’m just treating them equally right now and getting ready to talk to football coaches in a bit," Suggs said. "Once that comes it will start to get a little bit hectic with basketball and football coaches all on the phone. But I actually really have fun with the process. I take every conversation to learn and build relationships. Having fun with both sports right now and we’ll see in the future."

OT -- do the "S" and "B" contribute much to the SMB football program? I know Blake has great sports tradition in non-football sports.

None of them produced a ton of D1 athletes (outside of hockey) until they became a Co-Op.

I'm a Minnehaha alum, and we never had this kind of talent when I was there. We did have a decent amount of D1 girl's basketball talent when I was there. The girls coach then switched to become the boys coach, and also a dean at the school. I don't have any inside info on how he operates now but I have to imagine he is way more focused on sports than previous administrators.

Thanks for replies.

Might one reasonably conclude that a fair amount of "recruiting" goes on, perhaps among middle school level kids, at these big time sports private schools (Breck, Delasalle, Totino ... perhaps now Minnehaha)?

Don't drink the public school conspiracy theory kool aid.

OK, appreciate the thoughts.

We now return to your regularly scheduled programming!

Are we in on any IMG recruits? We didn't get any 2019 recruits (at least not yet), how about 2020 cruits? It'd be great if we could get a pipeline going there.

With Annexstad starting, maybe some of his old offensive teammates (WR's?) will take interest. Question is, are we pursuing?
