Wonder how many of their fans are gonna whine about doing the right thing for the home team? The "student section" discussion gave them cover.

UCLA will switch sidelines at the Rose Bowl next season, moving its players out of direct sunlight for games played in the afternoon.

The Bruins will now stand on the side shaded by the press box and the Terry Donahue Pavilion. Quarterback Mike Fafaul acknowledged in November that it was “kind of hard to see sometimes” while standing on the side that was in the sun.

The change came after a majority of students surveyed supported the moving of the student section to the north end zone to accommodate Pac-12 Conference rules that dictate students cannot sit behind a visiting team’s bench.

More students will be located closer to the field as part of the switch, which will also provide more than 2,000 additional seats for students. Visiting fans will be relocated into one of the sections previously occupied by students.
