For those still curious why the Holiday Bowl chose us

Since the Holiday Bowl is a very band heavy bowl, they take the band into consideration in thier decision. It has been communicated to the band from multiple people in athletics and from the bowl that our band was a big factor in their decision. They felt we really represented our university well, and would do a great job preforming in San Diego. So yeah, go band!
 

The only band with clarinets and flutes...

Marching Band excellence. A long tradition at Minnesota!
 


It has also been a fun bowl game - great city, climate (usually), tradition of high-scoring contests going down to the wire, good TV audience.
 

Our band is a classic. I would compare it to the USC band . We've great formations and coordination in the marching aspect. People talk about the Wisconsin band They march like a monkey with a stick up their kister.
