The problem is - in the wake of the current incident - every time a recruit decides to choose another school over MN, someone will question whether the incident played a role in the decision. It might have played a role - it might have played no role whatsoever, but people are still going to bring it up.
Hey - here's a wild idea - maybe the guy liked the other school more than MN? Maybe he clicked with the other school's coaches more than MN? It happens.
If a recruit chooses MN, does that mean he's into kinky sex - or does it mean he liked the school and the coaches better?
This situation is likely going to impact recruiting for the immediate future. Coaches are just going to have to do the best they can. (a big win in the bowl game wouldn't hurt).
