LIU Brooklyn

LIU Brooklyn is located at the intersection of Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues (across the street from Junior's restaurant)

Junior's is a shrine to the Brooklyn of old, it has become a must-visit for politicians from borough presidents to President Barack Obama, who bought two cheesecakes and a couple of black-and-white cookies during an October 2013 visit with Bill de Blasio, who was soon to be elected mayor.

A few things:

Even though the school is in one of the great basketball cities in the world, they have ZERO players from NYC.

They are 7-3, with wins over St. Johns (by 1 at Barclay's Center), Hartford, Lowell, Maine, Northeastern, Loyola (MD), and John Jay. Losses were to BU, NC Central and Incarnate Word.

They are in the Northeast Conference, which includes former Gopher opponent Mt St. Mary's. Coincidentally, those 2 tied for 4th in the preseason poll.

And yes they are the Blackbirds

Love the flute riff

Lovett didn't play for SJU in that game. If he plays, SJU wins by 10+. I watched part of the game and SJU was pretty bad.
