After a performance against Vanderbilt that excited many Gopher fans they came out a little flat against NJIT. Only scoring 37 points in each half it was a good thing NJIT only shot 34% from the field.

Gophers turned the ball over 14 times, as well.

A bright spot being 10 team blocks on the night continuing a trend of being tough inside. At the same time Jordan Murphy put himself in some foul trouble that really limited his playing time. Even fouling out in the 2nd half.

Akeem Springs (19 pts, 7 rebs) led the field in points, Amir Coffey (13 pts, 8 rebs) in rebounds. Lynch continued to be solid inside and provided some good secondary scoring (9 pts, 7 rebs).

The Gophers are 8-1, matching last year's win total, and will look to do it again Friday against Georgian Southern at the Barn.

well 37x2 is 74. scoring 74 will win you a lot of games in college basketball, especially in this league

Not upset with the scoring. Definitely want them to cut down on the turnovers though.
