Jackie Johnson had a good night in Loyola's home loss to the Lisa Stone coached St. Louis Billikens 90-76. Johnson had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Jackie also fouled out after 31 minutes of play. In Loyola's earlier 92-45 loss at Washington State, Johnson played 30 minutes scoring 9 points and collecting 8 rebounds while committing 10 turnovers.

Jackie was ex-gopher of the week based on her double double performance last week in LMU's 66-58 loss at Oklahoma State. The Lions led 47-40 starting the fourth quarter before the Cowgirls rallied for the win. Johnson's stat line: 38 minutes, 14 points, 14 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 turnovers. LMU plays San Diego State today.

Holding a 47-40 advantage at the end of the third quarter, the LMU women’s basketball team fell to Oklahoma State, 66-58, after a furious fourth-quarter comeback Thursday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Jackie Johnson tallied her second straight double-double with a team-high 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Leslie Lopez-Wood followed with 13 points, connecting on 5-of-11 from the floor and 3-of-8 from beyond-the-arc, while Cheyenne Wallace tallied 11 points and nine rebounds.

Karli Wheeler posted a game-high 17 points, while three other Cowgirls registered double-digit scoring figures to extend their home non-conference home win streak to 48.

Does anyone know what has happened to Grace Coughlin? She transferred to UND but isn't on the roster now

Johnson named WCC player of the Week. A few video highlights are included.

Johnson guided the Lions to wins against Seattle, UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Fullerton, notching double-digit scoring figures in all three contests, while posting double-doubles with 13 points and 12 rebounds against the Gauchos and followed with a career-high and WCC season-best 18 rebounds against the Titans. The senior also swatted a career-high five blocks and added in 14 points at Cal State Fullerton en route to guiding the Lions to their best start since the 2012-13 season.

The Eden Prairie, Minnesota native leads the conference with six double-doubles in nine games and is the only player to be averaging a double-double with 14.7 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.

On the week, Johnson averaged 13.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 4.3 blocks and 2.3 assists per game

Johnson scored a career-high 26 points last night (11-15 FG) with 7 rebounds. Unfortunately no one really helped her as LMU got smoked by Gonzaga 80-56. LMU is 6-10 (1-4 WCC).

Why'd she leave? Could use her right now, but I suppose this is probably her 5th year.

The timing of her departure (and recall that she had been injured) suggested that Stollings didn't want her.

She didn't play her junior season presumably because she was recovering from the ACL injury. I think technically she transferred after Amanda declared for the draft and after the Gophers signed Karley Barnes and Kynadi Johnson. But as thatjanelpick said, Stollings probably thought she should move on. I wonder if Johnson could get a sixth season if she wanted.

Johnson was named WCC Newcomer of the Year. If you have BYUtv LMU is tipping off against San Francisco in the WCC Tournament shortly.
