The Gophers are already bowl eligible, but an eighth win against either Northwestern or Wisconsin in the next two weeks would change the perception of Tracy Claeys' first full season at the helm.

An 8th win vs. Wisconsin will do wonders for the perception of the program - the question is if that perception matches reality or if it is just papering over fundamental problems with the program. Ranking us #8 feels about right to me at this point. If we drop the next 2, we deserve to be surrounded by the Rutgers, Illinois, and Indianas of the B1G. Beat Wisconsin - that will keep us in the top half.
