There was a "secret meeting" last night and rumors began that some players are ready to quit the team and they've lost faith in their coach.

Butch Jones confirms Jalen Hurd transferring from Tennessee in his weekly press conference.

What's the point of quitting in the middle of a season? You're quitting on your teammates just as much as you're quitting on the coach.

We should go after Butch Jones in...

Jalen Hurd quitting on his teammates in mid-season, that I dislike. You can hate the coach even if he is an a$$hat but dismissing your teammates like that, I don't get doing that. Wait until after the season is over to do something like that.

Craziness. One they won like 4 games in a row they should have lost. Amazing fourth quarter come backs. They are a team on the rise that will continue to struggle against the impossible SEC West. Patience Grasshopper...

At the risk of opening that can of worms again, they have consistently under-performed in relation to their more recent recruiting class rankings. Same with Texas...Miami...Notre Dame...but of course, they are the outliers.

What's the Cliffs Notes here? Lost their last three games? Sky is falling?

Slightly.

Their upperclassmen (2011-2014), were right in the middle/bottom middle of the SEC (2011 - 6th; 2012- 6th; 2013 - 10th).

The RS FR/ SO class and the FR class are better, but it would be unrealistic to expect an immediate improvement with a ton of FR. They recruited in the middle of the road in the SEC and they are about a middle of the road SEC team. They sure sound like they're imploding now though.

More than slightly. They are basically a .500 team since 2008, having been ranked only once at season's end (last year) in that stretch. Their recruiting class average rank during that time was 14/15th, including 4 years with classes ranked 10th or better.

They don't get a pass because they play in the SEC.

Isn't Minnesota imploding a little bit too??

Vikings? Maybe. Gophers? Depends on who you talk to. Basically two plays from 8-0, in two losses defense played great in one...offense in the other.

I can't tell if this a attempt at humor? Maybe just poor timing. It might've made more sense before three straight wins.
Didn't you know that being 6-2 with a first year coach at Minnesota is considered imploding? /S
