well to say the least....this is going to be a wild ride until early signing day!
we have 21 guys committed with 1 of those being a soft commit correct? so we can sign at least 4 or 5 more.

No one really knows. We have a small amount of seniors, so no one appears to know where the schollies are coming from and how many we'll sign. We are in the "wait and see" period...

With the limited spots left, this is kind of where I wish we hadn't committed a scholarship to two specialists in one class. I'll say I'm much more on board with the kicker getting one than the LS. That extra spot sure would look nice at this time.

Recently got on Gopher Illustrated and it’s a whole new world information-wise. Burns only scratches the surface on Twitter and his podcast compared to Gopher Illustrated

Your bonus is in the mail.

I think 2-3 guys will grey shirt (I think they'll count towards next year).
We will sign a full 25 people for next season.

So 27-28 total. There will also be some movement from our current class.

There has to be some attrition. Red shirts who have enough credits to graduate. Maybe some kids will transfer.

14 more days until December signing day.
(If I have the right date. December 19th)

I would agree, we should expect to see 10-15% attrition from our original commits but it appears that we are using those newly created spaces to pursue even better recruits.

I never used to pay attention to this time of year and suddenly I'm looking for hourly updates.

Counting 2019 commits, I think we are at 105 Schollies. If Smith stays, Gophs lose 10 Sr schollies, so 10 more have to come through attrition to bring in the current commits to stay at the 85 limit, obviously more if the class grows and/or some are counted towards 2020.

Keep in mind Cooper and Udoibok are blue/maroon shirts that will count towards the 2020 class. Similar to Richter in this 19 class.

What is a maroon shirt?

Cooper and Udoibok are grayshirts.

He meant grey shirt I believe

Lol this is actually it. But for the others, it’s where a recruit instead of arriving with the other 19 recruits sit out a semester and by doing so can be counted toward the 2020 class. It’s a loophole Alabama has made famous.

I'd expect some of our WR's that don't play to seek transfer

I wonder if we pull the scholarship for Annexstad's brother.

Lejond Cavazos Safety from IMG decommitted from Ohio State.

Not that we have a chance but its time for the IMG boys to put the full court press on!

The new ones are always better.

I imagine only if we give it to Zack...Like others speculated when the scholarship was given, it might be to lighten the burden on the Annexstad family, so I imagine one way or another that scholarship is accounted for. But I agree on the WR transferring, we have a lot that don't play, So I imagine there'll be some transfers from that group.

I think it's frowned upon to pull a scholarship from a kid unless there was an academic or behavioral issue and I don't think Fleck would do that simply to make room. Some kids are content being scout team guys and are earning their scholarships by helping prepare the guys that take the field. The difficult conversations are with the kids that really want to be in the field but just don't have the skill set to get there. Those are the ones that have to make life decisions and where additional scholarships may open from. ZA's brother seems to be the type that will stay with the program even if playing time never happens.

I think we are at that % already...

Situation is a bit different, I think only reason he got a scholarship was because his brother walked on and was our opening day starter
