per the Statesman Journal:

Oregon State players are embracing for a smash-mouth football game when they head into Big Ten country for the season opener Thursday at Minnesota.

Unlike the Pac-12’s wide-open style of spread formations, Big Ten teams typically rely on a power running game and stout defenses.

Minnesota, with its pro-style offense, fits that mold.

“They wanna come at you man to man and say, ‘I’m bigger than you. I’m better than you. I'm tougher than you, so what are you gonna do about it?” OSU senior cornerback Treston Decoud said. “I love that.”

Whether the Beavers are ready for the physical challenge that is sure to come in a hostile environment remains to be seen. After all, OSU was 2-10 last season and failed to win a conference game for the first time since 1997.

Go Gophers!!

I love the sweeping generalizations these articles make, lol. And we don't run a "pro style offense." At least that's not what I'd expect to see under Johnson.
