Gophers will play Vandy in Sioux Falls

Am cool with Pitino having these neutral-site games as long as there are a couple quality home games on the non-conference schedule for the season-ticket holders. That certainly applies this coming season with two that we know of, Saint Johns & Arkansas.

But if it's like 2014-15, when we played Louisville at a neutral site, but had no quality home games to speak of? That's a no-no.
Ya bbut that game gave us a lot of exposure to bad we had a crappy year and didn't take advantage of it

I sense some confusion on size of arena.

Sioux Falls has 2 fairly new arenas. The Sanford Pentagon is the one the Gophers played in last year, and will play in this year. The complex has a series of courts that are used for HS events - AAU tournaments, JO Volleyball and so forth. The main court - the Heritage Court - is a retro-styled gym that looks like a "Hoosiers" era facility. Seats about 3,200.

The other new Gym is the Denny Sanford Premier Center. This is a mid-size arena - seats 10-12,000 for games and concerts. That is where the Summit League holds its tournaments.

So, you have two facilities - both named "Sanford" - which creates some of the confusion.
