Big Ten/ACC Challenge Pairings Set - Minnesota at Florida State

The Daily Gopher did an analysis of the challenge

The Gophers are the only team that has faced less than 50% unique teams in the Challenge at 44% (8/18). Northwestern is at 50% (9/18), as is Penn St (8/16). Leading the way at 69% (11/16) is Iowa, Michigan, Ohio St, and Purdue.

Their 6 games against FSU is the most times 2 teams have met. That means 1 out of every 3 B1G/ACC Challenges we face FSU.

ESPN says we want this game, this game, this game and this game....then the Big Ten picks an intern to decide the remaining matchups.

You would hope even the intern says, "Wait, let's mix it up, they have played (3) times in the last (5) years."

What a joke.

Why is it so hard to face off against Georgia Tech or Wake Forest?

FSU (5) and Virginia (4) represent more than half of our ACC opponents. The next tier is Wake Forest and Clemson with 2 each and VaTech, GT, Maryland, Miami and Syracuse with 1 each. Never met Duke, UNC, NCST, Pitt, BC, Louisville or Notre Dame in the Challenge. Obviously they are trying to get the best matchups and not do a round robin.
