You need Insider, but ESPN has Leidner to Dallas in the first round at pick #25
per Joe:
McShay qualified this year's picks by writing:
Let's start by emphasizing the first part of the headline above: Way-too-early. There's a reason we use that terminology for this piece. I have not studied tape on most of these players. I've simply done my best to match up many of the top players on my preliminary list with teams that make sense.
And for what it's worth, in last year's "Way-too-early" mock draft, McShay did hit on 15 of the eventual 32 first-round names.

Go Gophers!!
I don't know what's less likely - Mitch going in the 1st, or the Cowboys picking at #25.
If Romo's healthy all year, they win the division by 2 games.
Hopefully everyone reads this article by Joe before freaking out. I bet many people would have the same reaction this time last year if someone said Wentz would have gone #2 and Cardale Jones wouldn't get taken until the 4th round.
If Mitch is a 1st round pick then we should be favored to win the BT West with our schedule...but we are being picked to go 8-4.
Jared Goff was just the #1 overall pick and Cal was below .500 in conference.
Jay Cutler was the #11 overall pick in 2006 and Vanderbilt was 5-27 in the SEC during his tenure (all games he started).
There are many more examples.
While that's absolutely true, I think his point may have been more toward the fact that we have a good team around Leidner.
From reading stuff from Cal fans, it sounds like Goff was just about the only bright spot on that team.
That's true, and I can see the comparison with Wentz.
How well (or not) Wentz does this year as a rookie might also impact the perception of Leidner's potential as a pro.
Jared Goff was just the #1 overall pick and Cal was below .500 in conference.

John Elway had a losing record his senior year at Stanford as well, if only the trombone player could tackle
There's zero chance Liedner gets drafted in any round.
