per Greder:

In the previous 10 drafts, only 18 punters have been picked. About five NFL teams recently have made “serious contact” with Mortell, but he declined to name the teams.

“I know that if I can sign an undrafted free-agent deal and find my way into a training camp, that would be an ideal situation for me,” Mortell said. “All of the things that I’m hearing from teams and agents is that that could be a real possibility. Now it’s just wait the next week and see how it plays out.”

“The NFL is not really (about) what’s the biggest ball you can hit; it’s really how bad are your mis-hits,” Mortell said. “I’ve found that my mis-hits are getting a lot better. I’m getting a lot more consistent, and I have a lot better control over the ball than I did in college.”

Go Gophers!!

Well drones are forbidden around a lot of stadiums..... seems like a good fit for him.

By giving Mortell a contract they get a punter, holder, and V.P. of Media.

Hopefully he lands in the NFL because I would love to see what he could do with the NFL platform behind him. We have all seen what he can accomplish off the field with the limited reach of being a college special teams player. Imagine what he could do as an NFL punter.
