Go Gophers!!

Anyone have an idea how the visits are going this weekend?

Kobe Brown would be a great get. He has a good looking jumper. His body looks a little bigger, but the athleticism still shows a good amount in film. Compared to Roddy, I like Brown A LOT more.

Tyson Etienne to Wichita State.

C'mon Dereon, just make it official already.

Just curious if you have seen him play ? Not all that high on him. The raw ability is there but the intangibles, the preprioception lacks at this point. It does not mean he can not develop and once that spot is filled it is gone. On the other hand he may have a off the charts work ethic that the staff loves.

He actually reminds me of Dupree McBrayer, I'd take him.

That’s the 4th video I have had watched on him. In those 4 videos I believe there have been a total of 4 jump shots. He does seem to have some penetration ability and he can definitely finish at the rim. But for a guard prospect I would like to see more shooting and dishing off to teammates. That being said I like the idea of him on our roster as a potential matchup nightmare if he can continue to improve.

Are you high on any of the players the Gophers have had in for visits recently? Brown, Seabron, Gultekin? I think you are one of the few on the board who may have seen any of them play.

Seabron has the mindset to attack and dunk. That's good, but in the few clips of his shot...it needs a makeover. Seems to handle the ball pretty well, but there are almost no passes in his highlights either. I also watched like 4 or 5 of his videos. He does have size and strength. If he's coachable he could be excellent....maybe similar to Dupree, which if we knew that I'd be highly in favor.

Yavuz Gultekin off the board after committing to VATech.

per Marcus:

Sunrise Christian Academy (Kan.) four-star 2019 forward Tray Jackson reneged on his commitment to the Gophers on Friday, he announced on his Twitter account.

Jackson, a consensus top-100 prospect, committed to Minnesota on Sept. 10 following his official visit to the U’s campus. He also considered Seton Hall, Oklahoma, Oregon, Missouri and Purdue.

Go Gophers!!

What makes a kid commit and then decommit? That’s a very undesirable trait for me. My kid posts 110% committed to somewhere, they get a 10% buffer then they have to hold true.

Yikes. This class is teetering on disaster status if we don’t get some good news soon.

And I didn’t think it was possible to get any worse news. At this point if we don’t land Hurt I think this may be the worst class in a long time. It’s almost November with no commits. I realize there are a ton of quality kids remaining but we are finding ourselves falling further behind our B1G rivals. See Maryland as an example.

I wasn't fully on board when he initially committed. These verbals are meaningless.

Not in basketball this is extremely rare without a coaching change

I heard we stop recruiting him? So is there a different commit on the way? Hurt?

Im not sure, it seems like we just probably lost a commit by not recruiting hard enough which is not a good look for this staff.

If I put my maroon colored lenses on, I'd say that Kobe King is gonna commit and the staff didn't want two players who are similar in position and skill set. So the staff kinda of just let Jackson drift away and leave.

Jeter says they want him still. Not a shred of truth about them being glad he left.

Kobe King??? Or Kobe Brown?
