per Dawn:

Tony Dungy will be in the Twin Cities April 9th to inspire local athletes at his annual event, Arise With The Guys. Dungy makes it clear that his Minnesota roots are important to him, and has chosen Minnesota as his place to give out his “Uncommon” awards at the event. Last year, the national award went to Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, but Dungy also honors local high school athletes.

Last year, Eden Prairie linebacker Carter Coughlin was recognized by Dungy as a High School Uncommon Leader and the soon-to-be Gopher has taken that responsibility and honor to heart.

Next Saturday at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, Dungy will make an impact on more young athletes, and his special guest will be Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis. Other notable names will be on-hand to speak and give wisdom including Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, former NFL and Gopher player Ron Johnson and Paul Molitor, Kyle Gibson and Brian Dozier will be skyping in from Kansas City.
