Milestones
Big Ten hockey has been around three years now and the Minnesota Gophers have had their name engraved on the regular-season championship trophy all three times. It is part of a long run of Gopher domination, as they have now won five straight conference championships dating back to their days in the WCHA. But here's the rub; sitting at No. 17 in the current PairWise rankings, the Gophers will most likely need to win the Big Ten tournament to get a bid to the Big Dance. At 19-16-0 overall, nothing is guaranteed at this point.
