Brooks recorded a solid freshman campaign despite not receiving a carry through Minnesota’s first three contests. The Georgia native finished with 709 yards and seven touchdowns on 119 carries and posted two 100-yard games.

Seems right, six yards a carry behind that offensive line is a crime. Any back worth his weight would have run for 10+ yards a carry and 72 touchdowns.

Pretty pointless to get worked up about the ranking in a list like this. Outside of the top handful of guys that are elite there is really no way to rank the rest accurately. He is right in with a bunch of other Big Ten guys that looked impressive but don't have a long track record of proven success that would get them higher on the list.

Loved watching Brooks run this season. A little more consistency in the upcoming season and he finishes much higher than 67.
