On the coaches show tonight, Corbu said the Sunday Michigan/Gopher game at Williams will remain at 2:00 PM. They were unable to move it even though the Vikings play at the Bank at 12:00.

Bad decision. They will be lucky if 1,000 people show up.

Geez. Where do they expect people to park? That is a strange decision, be it the BT's or one of the schools.

Go Gophers!!

Would like to know the story behind that. Does it take both teams to agree? Does MSU veto the change so as to have less Gopher fans at the game?

The Viking game will be over at halftime. The ladies might draw more than you think.

Anyone hate the Vikings more than Ruppert??????

Parking is a mess during Viking games. Wonder why they couldn't change the time. Unfortunate for the ladies.

per the Wolves:

In conjunction with the NBA and the Dallas Mavericks, the Minnesota Timberwolves today announced this Sunday’s game vs. Dallas at Target Center will now tip off at 4:00 p.m. instead of the original 2:30 p.m. time. General public doors at Target Center will open at 2:30 p.m., with VIP/Member doors opening at 2:00 p.m.

“Since the Vikings game date and time was announced on Sunday evening, we heard a lot from our fans and their desire to watch and/or attend both games,” said Timberwolves President Chris Wright. “We thank the NBA and Dallas Mavericks for allowing us to accommodate our fans’ wishes and we wish the Vikings the best of luck Sunday vs. Seattle.”

The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff at TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday.

Go Gophers!!

Parking will be a mess, no doubt, and some Gopher fans will surely stay home to avoid the hassle. The U claims that there will be spots reserved for fans attending the basketball and hockey games at regular event rates starting at 1:00pm or 1:30pm. Hopefully that will work.

Changing the game times probably wasn't a great option, since the Vikings' game will run from noon to 3:30pm or so meaning that Viking traffic will be worst from 9:00am-12:30pm an then again from 3:00pm-5:30pm. They could start the games at 6:00pm, but that's a significant change for visiting teams with flight arrangements already made.

Since the Viking fans will largely be in place by 12:30pm, the Gopher fans should be able to get to the campus pretty easily (if they can find a place to park). After the games, on the other hand, it will be a mess. I'd find a bar or engage in some subzero tailgating.

I suppose now you want to know what you won.

Nope. I hope there is a 20 mile an hour wind and 25 below wind chill. Even if they win it will take a couple hours to thaw their purple asses out. Would especially like to see the child beater get frost bite on his nuts. Happy New Year 19.....
