Given the injuries that have stacked up since the season opener, Gophers offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover said his offensive-line depth resembles "Hoosiers."

In the classic basketball movie set at a rural Indiana high school, coach Norman Dale, played by actor Gene Hackman, decided to bench the one player he had left and finished a game with four players instead of five.

"You need one more," the referee told Dale.

"My team is on the floor," Dale replied.

Life hasn't fully imitated art in the Gophers' case, but the sentiment is relevant.

"If (trainers) tell me somebody is healthy, we'll roll. If not, it's like in 'Hoosiers,' " Limegrover said before the 40-35 loss to Iowa on Nov. 14. "Although, I don't know if I'd be allowed to play with four O-linemen."

The Gophers' patchwork front five has had seven different starting combinations in 11 games. Their current lineup likely will start a third consecutive game together, a relative eternity.
