Adam Trapp, a 7-foot-2 sophomore center from Esko (MN) High, is an AAU teammate of McCabe's for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors. Trapp helped lead the Eskimos to a 23-8 mark as a freshman and a spot in the Class AA state tournament as he averaged 8.9 points per game.

Trapp, who has already received a scholarship offer from DePaul, comes from a basketball family. His older sister, Savanna, was recruited by Minnesota before picking UCLA.

He'll be a visitor this weekend at the Gopher football game. He has a sister that plays at UCLA, she's 6-9

Talked with his grandfather at length during a gopher hoops game, good guy, good family.

Well with Lynch, Konate and Gaston all in the same class, we will need a couple of bigs in that class

Whatever happened to his sister? She's no longer on the UCLA roster.

Based off this press release from about a year ago, it looks like she may have left the program:

UCLA Head Women’s Basketball Coach Cori Close announced today that redshirt freshman Savanna Trapp is out indefinitely due to personal reasons.

Trapp, a 6-foot-9-inch center out of Esko, Minn., will remain with the program on scholarship.

“Savanna is part of our family, and we wish nothing but the best for her,” said Close. “We look forward to supporting Savanna as she shifts her focus off the court for the time being and are hopeful she will be able to rejoin the team.”

Hopefully it goes well

Hard to get super excited about a HS Sophomore though. Crazy how the recruiting process works

Is that the kid that comes from a family of singers?

He's left-handed, which puts him squarely in Pitino's recruiting wheelhouse.

I know it's been 7 months but I think I got the joke.

Dunked on

Meh... Shawn Bradley comes to mind.

Purdue and Iowa seem like a good place for 7 footers with slow lateral movement. They are used to having this type of player (Woodbury, Haas). We would rather play a 6-9 guy in Curry than a slow 7 footer. Hope Trapp has a good career he should be effective by his jr year in college. Also, he is probably not done growing.
