per Greder:

When coach Jerry Kill's Northern Illinois team beat Minnesota 34-23 in 2010, junior quarterback Chandler Harnish took all the snaps for the Huskies.

The following week against Akron, however, Kill and offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover unveiled a wildcat package featuring freshman quarterback Jordan Lynch.

Although Harnish was the starter all season, Lynch played in nine games and Northern Illinois went 10-3. In the offseason, Kill took the Gophers job.

Five years later, Kill offered Lynch as an example of how Minnesota could get freshman quarterback Demry Croft more involved this season.
